   I live in the U.S., and my girlfriend lives in the Philippines, and the best method I found was Johnny Air cargo, and it’s 7 times cheaper than FedEx and just as fast. I mainly ship small items like CDs, etc., but my last shipment only cost $12.98, and it got to Cebu from Tennessee in 1 week! Their rates are $8.50 per lb and their website is http://www.johnnyair.com/. I used their New York location and Analyn Diego took care of my shipment. Send her an email, and she’ll give you their rates and instructions for shipping.

   By the way, they have several locations in the Philippines. The one I have used is in Cebu City, but I’m pretty sure they have at least one on each island and probably more around Manila.

   REALLY TRICKY TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION. I HAVE MANY FAVORITES BUT I GUESS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE IS THE SAME AS ANTHONY BOURDAIN (THE FAMOUS TV CHEF). IT IS CALLED ZUBUCHON CEBU AND THEY HAVE AN OUTLET TO ORDER AT BTC (BANILAD TOWN CENTER). I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT YOU CAN BUY IT AT MACTAN AIRPORT (5 MINUTES FROM SDR CEBU CONDOMINIUMS), THE PRICE IS PESOS450 PER KILO. (APPROX USD10 PER KILO).

   THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT YOU CAN SHIP IT OUT (MORE LIKE FLY IT OUT) …. I HEAR YOU SAYING THAT PIGS DON’T FLY??? WELL, THE GOOD FOLK WILL ENSURE THAT MR. PIGGY DOES FLY. THEY WILL PACK IT AND BOX IT. FOR SURE YOU WILL BE THE ENVY OF ALL OTHERS ON THE PLANE IF YOU TAKE IT ON AS HAND CARRY AND DEVOUR IT WHILST THE REST OF US POOR MORTALS HAVE TO EAT CRAP AIRPLANE FOOD!
